This is unfortunate, because paint is the least expensive and quickest way to conceal a multitude of challenges.

No budget to...

Replace that unusual bathroom tile?

A Coordinating color will downplay its undesirable features.

Furnish the Living Room?

Unfurnished rooms don’t look as empty in warm colors.

Replace that large hand-me-down sofa in the Family Room?

Painting the surrounding area in a similar paint color will virtually blend it into the wall.

Where to start:

A reliable paint store is your first step.  One of my favorites is Frazee Paints.  They have excellent products and helpful staff.

Anything that catches your eye and express your style will do.  Photos, fabrics or magazines are often used.

Don’t finalize your colors in the store.

View them in your home under natural and artificial light; test Exterior colors outside.

View finishes next to chips.

Carpet and fabrics influences color.

View paint chips vertically.

They look different horizontally.

Lighter colors are tricky.

The lighter the tint color, the more difficult it is to discern between colors.

Resist the urge to purchase paint until you have done your home work.

Purchase supplies to prep instead.paint, color, interior, colour, decorating on a budget, denise turner, room turners, color turners
